ShareofWARSAW - Researchers
working for the Institute of Telecommunications in Warsaw, Poland to find a way
to send messages hidden using encryption and conversation applications of
Microsoft, Skype.
Quoted
from Softpedia, Monday (07/01/2013), reports New Scientist suggests,
researchers have found that Skype continuously send data even when the lag when
typing the word.
In
their study, the researchers discovered at least two basic types of Skype
calls, data packets are 130 bits when one user speaks, and 70 bits of data
packets when there is no communication between the two users.
Well,
the results of this analysis, the researchers finally developed a technology
called SkypeHide that allows to use using 70 bits of data packets to send
encrypted messages.
SkypeHide
alone can support text, voice, and video data at speeds of 1 KB per second even
when the Skype call is active. Unfortunately, the system is not yet
publicly available, but the results of the studies will be showcased at an
event held in Montpellier, France in June.
